Only papers approved by reviewers will be included in the conference program and published later. The reviewers will evaluate the papers not only on the quality and topicality of their themes and content, but also on the completeness and topicality of citations in the content, the importance of the conference topic and scientific field or section, and geographical or national / European / Global importance.

Scientists and specialists from universities and research units can present the results of their scientific and practical research in the sectional and poster sessions of the conference.

The Abstracts of the papers in English (in .docx format, from 200 to 250 words, title in Bulgarian and English language, 4 to 6 key words, the names of the authors, place of work, email address), together with the online registration are due by 25th August 2020 at the Organizing Committee.

The authors of the approved papers will be informed about the decision of the Scientific Committee no later than September 1st, 2020.

The full text of the papers, up to 10 pages, must be sent no later than October 10th, 2020.

The presentation of the papers at the section meetings must be in English or in Bulgarian, with a compulsory requirement that the multimedia presentation be in English or Bulgarian, or only in English.

In case of impossibility to present the papers through participation in the conference, imposed by force majeure circumstances, the papers will be presented remotely within online sessions.

All papers will be deposited in the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and will be registered in the National Reference List of the National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID).

  1. Papers to be presented during sectional meetings:

A) A selection of all reviewed papers will be collected in the Proceedings of the Conference or Agricultural Sciences.

The collection will be submitted to the international publishing house The Clarivate Analytics, which maintains the Web of Science™ database and evaluates the quality of the papers according to certain quality criteria (Conference Proceedings Selection Essay). Upon approval by the editorial team of Clarivate Analytics, the materials will receive a code number and will be indexed in one of the two permanent indexes of the cited in Web of Science Core Collection: Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science (CPCI-S) or Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH). Only one approved author’s papers will be allowed to be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Agricultural Sciences is a journal of the Agricultural University – Plovdiv. The journal is fully referred in WEB OF SCIENCE, CAB Abstract, EBSCO Publishing, AGRIS and partially in other 30 databases of CAB International.

B) Papers in English which are not approved under procedure A), together with other papers that are submitted by the authors only in Bulgarian (but with a compulsory summary in English), will be published in the Scientific Works of Agricultural University-Plovdiv (ISSN 1312-6318 http://nauchnitrudove.au-plovdiv.bg/instructions/). More than one approved author’s papers will be allowed to be published in the Scientific Works.

The selected authors agree that the copyright shall be transferred to the publisher upon approval of the article for publication.

It is recommended that the authors of the papers who wish to be selected and published in the Proceedings of the Conference (procedure A) pay attention to the topics and the focus of the Conference, namely current technologies, technological solutions, models and innovations for agro-ecosystem sustainability and agri-food chains in the region of Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans, in the context of the current European strategies: “Biodiversity” and “Farm to fork”.

Instructions for text and graphics in papers for the Conference Proceedings/Agricultural Sciences

  1. Poster presentations.

Poster sessions will be scheduled for each section in specified areas and authors who will present their posters during the conference should be available for questions and answers for the entire duration of the session.

If it is not possible to participate in the section meetings of the conference for presenting the papers, the same could be presented in the poster session.

  • Poster boards will be provided for each accepted poster presentation.
  • Each poster board will be numbered. Consult the Welcome committee to identify the number assigned to your presentation and use the board with the corresponding number.
  • Authors/Presenters are responsible for setting up and removing the poster and materials. Posters may be set up 2 hours before the start of the session. Posters should be taken down within 30 minutes after the session ends.
  • Presenters will not be allowed to remove posters during the session.
