The Agricultural University – Plovdiv celebrates its 75th anniversary as a modern national and international educational and research centre, with proven high public recognition as a leader in agricultural business, science and education in the country and is open to the rich experience of its international partners.
In 2019 it was granted an institutional accreditation with a grade of 9.61 on the ten-point scale, which places our educational institution among the TOP THREE universities in Bulgaria.
The major structural units are the four faculties: Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Horticulture with Viticulture, Faculty of Plant Protection and Agroecology, Faculty of Economics. Training is provided for acquiring the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in eight professional fields. The educational process is organized in close collaboration with the research works and agricultural practice.
The AUP is well equipped with modern labs and infrastructure for conducting competitive basic and applied research works, which are business-oriented and intend to achieve sustainable development of the sector for adequate integration in the European agriculture.
